Chicago Rallies Around Rape Victim

This article reacts to the raping, choking, and poisoning of a 9-year old Chicago girl anonymously referred to as Girl X, who was found dumped in a stairwell with gang-style graffiti on her body. Various secular and religious communities around Chicago hold vigils for Girl X, and reflect on the increase in crime in the city.
