Jury Finds O.J. Guilty, Awards $8.5 Million

A civil jury finds O.J. Simpson guilty of the murder of his wife and her friend, and orders him to pay $8.5 million in compensatory damages. This article is careful to specify that the jury that convicted Simpson was mostly white, while the jury that acquitted him in 1995 was mostly black.
