Demanding Equality

A gay columnist reacts to the Board of Visitors' resistance to accept SAF guidelines protecting homosexual students from discrimination. She criticizes the BOV's desire to allow student groups the option to exclude homosexuals, and insists that even though homosexual acts are prohibited under Virginia law, the law does not prohibit gays from integrating into the University community. She asserts that the law does not create sanction discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation.
