UVa imposes sanctions on student literary society

After reports of hostility towards women and illegal drinking against the Jefferson Literary and Debating Society, a panel created by UVA President John T. Casteen III decided to prohibit the group "from its meeting quarters near the Rotunda next semester and denying the club alcohol privileges for the year."
