Board to discuss report, policies
The UVA Board convenes an emergency meeting to discuss the alleged rape reported by Rolling Stone and UVA's policies for addressing sexual assault. Student leaders from Student Council and the Interfraternity Council hold a joint press conference to respond to Rolling Stone's article. Alumni start a Change.org petition urging the administration to "make expulsion the mandatory punishment for sexual violence, permanently shutter Phi Kappa Psi, and fire any staff members 'found to have been negligent in their legal responsibilities regarding the handling of sexual assault.'"Files
