"Campus Sexual Assault Bill Relies on Public Shaming of Colleges"

An overview of the Campus Accountability and Safety Act introduced to the Senate in August 2014. The bill would mandate that every college participate in a standardized sexual assault survey and publish results online or be fined $150,000 per violation. As of August 2014, understaffing and underfunding enable 63% of colleges fail to comply with the Clery Act which includes sexual assault reporting.
