University Re-Evaluates Sexual Assault Prevention Efforts
Following a recent string of five sexual assaults (including one rape), Dean of Students Robert T. Canevari concludes that UVA already sufficiently addresses the issue of women's safety on Grounds. An official from the Sexual Assault Resource Agency contends that students receive adequate information about safety, but choose not to act upon it. University administrators and representatives from the Women's Center invite local police to speak about safety to students and state that a self-defense course should be implemented.Subject | |
