2011/05/09 - Why'd he lie? Law student's false racial accusation riles

Jonathan Perkins, a UVa law student, wrote an editorial piece claiming that he had been harassed by University police for being a black man walking through the city. Two weeks before graduation, Perkins admits to making up the story and police agree that Perkins would face no criminal charges on falsifying reports.
