An Open Letter to UVa President Teresa Sullivan
Representatives of the National Organization for Women (NOW) request President Sullivan's intervention in light of Dean Nicole Eramo's actions towards "Jackie" following the Rolling Stone rape article. The letter charges that, in the course of pursuing a private lawsuit against Rolling Stone, Dean Eramo engaged in victim blaming towards Jackie, the central figure in the Rolling Stone article, and demanded access to her private correspondence for the purposes of the lawsuit. The letter states that this constitutes a "re-victimization" of Jackie and requests President Sullivan's intervention.Subject | |
