Women's Booklet
Dear Sir:
The Association for Women’s Concerns (AWC) at the University of Virginia is presently compiling information for a brochure lising [sic] opportunities and services available to women students, both within the school itself and in the Charlottesville community. We are concerned with describing those activities and facilities which could aid or enhance a woman’s life during her stay at the University.
This letter will hopefully stimulate those individuals and organizations not aware of this project to notify the AWC immediately if they wish to be listed in the booklet. It is impossible to make the catalogue all-inclusive, so those areas most pertinent to women, for example, Athletics, Medical Services, Legal Aid, Equal Opportunity, Safety and Security, Courses relation to Women, etc. will be dwelt upon.
If you would briefly describe your facility’s/activity’s function and provide such pertinent information as contact phone number, membership dues, operating hour or any other vital information, we would be greatly appreciative. Thank you for your cooperation in this endeavor. Questions may be directed to 977-4670 and information placed either in the Student council mailbox fo; [sic] the AWC or in our office in Peabody Hall basement.
