Word has come to our offices that when the daughters of six faculty members applied to the Admissions Office for admission [sic] to the college the director of admissions quite properly refused to enroll the damsels. Amid howls and cries the protesting fathers ignored our hallowed traditions and appealed to the Board of Visitors, whereupon the Board ruled in effect that the sex of the applicants should be ignored and that they should be admitted to the University. Now the University has enrolled six “something or other.†|
