How UVA turns its back on rape

Annie Hylton's account of rape by fellow UVA student Matthew Hamilton as published in The Hook online magazine. Annie is a fourth-year UVA student at the time of publication. She claims that Hamilton was found guilty of rape by UVA's Sexual Assault Board, but only received sanctions and was allowed to remain on campus and graduate. The publication of Annie's account leads to November 2014 student protests against the UVA administration's procedures for adjudicating sexual assault.
