Pornography Censorship Not Justified
This opinion article objects to the censorship of pornography. It argues that pornography does not cause sexual violence, on the grounds that human beings have the agency to choose whether to commit crimes. Moreover, it argues that the censorship of pornography violates people's freedom to express their thoughts, a freedom enjoyed even by people who conceive what the article calls "evil" thoughts. Finally, it asserts that it is possible to portray women as beautiful without being objectifying.Subject | |
