New safety rules announced for University of Virginia fraternity parties

Establishing measures apparently designed to prevent sexual assaults at fraternity parties, UVA issues new safety rules that require at least three “sober and lucid” members monitoring behavior at parties; prohibit pre-mixed alcoholic drinks; and require the posting of sober fraternity members at staircases leading to bedrooms to ensure “immediate key access to each room” in the house.
