This opinion article discusses the rape of a University woman the preceding Thursday night by an unknown man, who forced her into his car and drove her to Louisa County. While the woman escaped with injuries by jumping out of the car, the writer asserts that the emotional scars of rape are its most lasting consequences. The article urges awareness in order to reduce the incidence of rape.
