UJC to Address Sexual Harassment

In response to a national initiative to protect students from sexual harassment, UVA transfers the power of litigation in student-to-student sexual harassment cases from the Office of Equal Opportunity Programs to the University Judiciary Committee. The policy change is intended to bring UVA into compliance with Title IX. Equal Opportunity Programs Analyst Susan Andrews clarifies that sexual behavior must be "pervasive, severe or unreasonably interfere with the victim's work" to constitute harassment.
