2015/02/12 - Student Council discusses undergraduate experience, sexual assault legislation

Archie Holmes, vice provost for educational innovation and interdisciplinary studies, reports the results of the Student Experience and Research University survey to the Student Council. The results indicated that students felt their leadership and analytical skills improved over the course of their undergraduate careers, At the same meeting, Student Council president Jalen Ross reports on new sexual assault legislation passed in Virginia, which requires colleges to mark a student's transcript if they are convicted of sexual assault, and requires University employees to report instances of sexual assault to the Title IX coordinator.
