Virginia lawmakers struggle with campus sexual assault policy

Virginia lawmakers are trying to decide how to make a law that both protects a sexual assault survivor and punishes perpetrators. The article reads, "At issue is whether to require school officials to immediately report rapes on campus to police and the local commonwealth’s attorney and whether to require the college to report crimes on a perpetrator’s transcript as a warning to other schools." Several survivors of campus sexual assault told their stories, including UVA 2013 graduate Claire Wyatt.
