School Desegregation Gets Mixed Report Card

This article assesses the successes and failures of school desegregation, effected by the Brown v. Board of Education case. It asserts that black students are still treated as inferior despite attending the same schools as whites. The article also discusses white opposition of affirmative action and occasional movement away from desegregation, as in Milliken v. Bradley.
