Free Society Must Permit Pornography

This letter to the editor objects to a previous Cavalier Daily editorial that correlated increased levels of rape with depictions of sexual violence in pornography. If depictions of sexual violence in pornography are banned, he argues, then all depictions of violence in the media should also be prohibited. He concludes that the suppression of depictions of rape in pornography infringes upon people's rights to express ideas freely.
