Sex-ed: Safety First, Innocence Second

This opinion article responds to the Virginia General Assembly's reinstatement of sex education programs. The writer approves of sex education, but argues that the conservative focus on abstinence in the Family Life Education program is excessive and does not provide sufficient information about sex. Instead, she argues, sex-ed programs should encourage students to ask questions about sex.
